Congratulations to the happy couple!
In an announcement posted to her blog on Friday, November 6th, popular voice actor Nana Mizuki revealed that she is pregnant with her first child. This is a follow-up to the announcement she posted back in July of this year announcing that she had married someone from the music industry.
Born in 1980 and hailing from Niihama, Ehime prefecture, Mizuki actually started her performing career as an enka singer before passing an audition which led her into voice acting. Her first anime role was back in 1998 for the series Flint the Time Detective, but she has enjoyed a very healthy and active career ever since helping to bring to life some of the most popular characters of the last couple of decades, including Hinata Hyuga (Naruto), Fate Testarossa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), Tsugumi Shibata (Hell Girl), Tsubasa Kazanari (Symphogear), and many others. Her career is showing no signs of slowing down either, as she already has one announced role for 2021!
Not only is Mizuki a talented actor though, but she’s also an accomplished singer who has enjoyed some pretty heavy success, including becoming the first voice actor to top both the Oricon album charts and the Oricon singles charts!
Still a popular and talented performer, we can only hope that her fans will respect her privacy during this time and just celebrate that someone so talented is finding happiness and success in her personal life on top of all the success she’s found in her professional life.
