Despite his perfect grades, he clashes with his uptight classmate, a girl who insists that he do things correctly. They have been arguing since they first entered high school. Although they despise each other, their grandparents insist on their marriage. We’ll find out how their “lovey-dovey marriage” unfolds when I Got Married to the Girl I Hate Most in Class (Kurasu no Dai Kirai na Joshi to Kekkon suru Koto ni Natta) premieres on January 3rd, 2025.
Seiju Amano and Nanami Narumi released the original I Got Married to the Girl I Hate Most in Class light novel on December 25th, 2020. Media Factory has since published nine volumes in the MF Bunko J imprint.
The unlikely couple and their cute gyaru friend are as follows:
- Saito Hojo — Shogo Sakata (Modaka from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Girls in a Dungeon?). The genius heir of Hojo Group.
- Akane Sakuramori — Hinaki Yano (Kitasan Black in Uma Musume Pretty Derby). A studious girl whose grades always come second to Saito’s.
- Himari Ishikura — Sayumi Suzushiro (Nijika Ijichi from Bocchi the Rock!). A flashy gyaru with a pure heart.

People view Saito Hojo as the genius of his high school. He consistently earns the highest marks in his grade. Akane Sakuramori is the only one who has a low opinion of him. She sees him as a slacker who excels with minimal effort. Saito and Akane became rivals during their freshman year. Their arguments became a source of regular entertainment for their classmates. But things took a turn for the curious when their grandparents called them both to the same location.
Tenryu Hojo and Chiyo Sakuramori were hated rivals like their grandchildren. They reunited years after their respective partners passed on. These two elderly lovebirds then decide to get the young ones married. Saito and Akane are absolutely against this plan, but their grandparents have ways to make them budge. With the Hojo Group’s future at stake, Saito must wed his hated rival.
