The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World Season 2 — New PV Reveals Cast and Premiere Date for Magic School Anime

Studio Zero-G has taken over animation for The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World Season 2 (Hyoken no Majutsushi ga Sekai o Suberu: Sekai Saikyo no Majutsushi de Aru Shonen wa, Majutsu Gakuin ni Nyugaku Suru), bringing it to your screens. Cloud Hearts, who adapted Season 1, unfortunately became defunct, leaving Zero-G to take over this magical school harem anime series. Zero-G previously worked on The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, so you know they can handle ice magic anime series.

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World News, Cast, Staff

Ray will return to school sometime in October 2026. Masahiro Takata sits as the director. Tomoko Shinozuka and Takahito Onishi wield the pen alongside Masahiro Takata, Mariko Kawamoto designs the characters, and Tatsuhiko Saiki and Natsumi Tabuchi provide the epic anime music.

The titular ice wielder and two of his cute (girl)friends are as follows:

• Ray White — Junya Enoki (Shosuke Komi from Komi Can’t Communicate). Ray is a child soldier and one of the most powerful magic users.
• Amelia Rose — Iori Saeki (Tsubaki from The Quintessential Quintuplets). Amelia is a powerful fire wielder and heir to one of three influential noble families.
• Ariane Olgren — Akira Sekine (Maryu Reage from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?). Ariane is a great lightning wielder, martial artist, and friend to Amelia. She likes Ray, but I don’t know if they get together.

Studio Zero-G will animate the anime adaptation, which has an official website and a Twitter (X) account promoting The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World. You can find more information about the series and the key visuals at those sites.

Finding Peace After a War, The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World

For those who want to find their place in the story between the anime, light novel, and manga, Season 1 covers the story through volume 4 of the light novel and chapters 40 through 45 of the manga.

The name of the magic school is out there. The “Arnold Academy of Magical Arts?” Arnold isn’t exactly as cool an academy name as Hogwarts or Tristain, is it? What it lacks in cool names, it makes up for it in cute waifus. Now let’s give Ray an actual harem of more than two girls. Maybe add the headmaster in.

The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite…and Ray White is just your ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn’t seem particularly skilled with magic at all, and is a bit of a klutz. Which is why he has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class…right?

Nana Mikoshiba released the original The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World on the user-generated website Shosetsuka ni Naro on October 25th, 2019. Riko Korie provided the art for the light novel adaptation, which debuted on July 2nd, 2020. Kodansha has published nine volumes in the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint. Norihito Sasaki and Nao Kagami provided the art for the manga adaptation, which debuted on June 24th, 2020. Kodansha has published all sixteen volumes of Part 1 in Magazine Pocket and one volume of Part II in Suiyobi no Sirius.
