A high-stakes intelligence operation brought together the most wholesome family in anime. Loid, Anya, and Yor must pass themselves off as a normal family to prevent war between two superpowers. Thanks in part to Anya, the Forger family has more fun than other top-secret operations. We’ll see what fun and danger await them when Spy x Family Season 3 premieres sometime in October 2025.
Tatsuya Endo released the original Spy x Family manga series on March 25th, 2019. Shueisha has since published fifteen volumes in Shonen Jump+. Wit Studio and CloverWorks’ anime adaptation premiered on April 9th, 2022.
The top-secret Forger family is as follows:
- Anya Forger — Atsumi Tanezaki (Lilith from Monster Musume). A telepathic orphan who finds excitement in spy work.
- Yor Forger — Saori Hayami (Ryu Lion from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? III). A highly trained and ruthless assassin working for Ostania’s Garden Assassins Syndicate.
- Loid Forger — Takuya Eguchi (Stoltz from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). A highly trained spy working for the Westalian Intelligence Services’ Eastern-Focused Division (WISE).

The Right Family to Stop a War, Spy x Family
Three souls become joined by fate. Anya desires a family, Loid Forger desires a cover, and Yor desires a fake boyfriend. The new Forger family made a home in the Ostanian city of Berlint. Loid’s assignment is to get close to the politician Donovan Desmond. To that end, he enrolls Anya in Eden Academy, the same school Donovan’s sons attend. Thus, Operation Strix begins, and the fate of two rival countries hangs in the balance.
Things have been touch-and-go for a while, but Anya’s found family has only grown stronger. Loid’s original objective still seems to be far away, but there are no signs of war yet, so it’s fine. Anya makes a new attempt to get close to Donovan’s son Damien, and Loid reflects on his past and the toll the war took on his family.
