We are mere days away from the debut of Spy x Family’s second half. However, I know that there are some of you out there who might be unconvinced that the second half will be worth the effort to keep up with. Maybe you already feel Anya’d out and don’t believe that the second half will deliver on the same thrills and laughs that the first half did. Well, allow me to show you this promotional video posted on the internet recently, to help you feel so much better about what’s coming up.
As seen in the nearly two-minute promotional video, the second half of Spy x Family is making some big promises to fans in terms of excitement and intensity. After watching (and re-watching) the first half and remembering my time reading the manga, I feel strongly that they are going to deliver even more than what they’re promising!
By the way, if you’re wondering who is providing that awesome new theme song titled SOUVENIR you heard, that would be the famous band BUMP OF CHICKEN.
Originally a manga series created by author Tatsuya Endo, Spy x Family made its debut on the Shonen Jump+ website in March 2019 before being published in English on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump subscription service. The series is up to nine volumes in Japan, while the English editions are up to seven volumes as of April 2022.
The anime adaptation is co-produced by WIT STUDIO and Cloverworks with Kazuhiro Furuhashi serving as the director. As you might have guessed by now, the anime adaptation became a raging success with fans and critics around the world upon its debut. Reportedly the manga has over 25 million copies in circulation worldwide as of August 2022.
