The cat-run noodle shop is turning its sign back to “open.” Ramen Akaneko Season 2 begins in January 2027, with the familiar staff returning and a new server ambitiously joining the dining room. The exact day remains off the menu, because apparently even cats enjoy making customers wait for a table.

Ramen Akaneko Season 2 Adds a Flashy New Server
Tamako Yashiro is still the only human employee at a feline-featuring ramen restaurant. She handles care duties while quiet chef Bunzo keeps the bowls moving. Ramen Akaneko Season 2 adds Jewel, a long-haired gray cat. The new dining room server wants to build a cat host club and become its No. 1 attraction. Ramen Akaneko Season 2 introduces a worker whose ambition is as firm as extra-firm noodles.
The Familiar Crew Returns to the Kitchen
The core shift clocks in again, and Ramen Akaneko Season 2 keeps most of the people who made the first bowl delicious.

- Kenjiro Tsuda — Bunzo, the quiet ramen chef who anchors the shop.

Murakoshi replaces Season 1 writer Toru Kubo. Otherwise, Ramen Akaneko Season 2 is not tossing the recipe into the alley.
J-List Already Recommended This Bowl
J-List previously recommended the first season as a relaxing workplace comedy where shedding is a genuine food-safety crisis. Ramen Akaneko Season 2 keeps that cozy shift running. Ramen Akaneko Season 2 also gives Jewel room to sell customers on dinner and, possibly, himself. The cat understands upselling.
Speaking of upselling, did you know it’s calendar season at J-List? We have 2027 calendars in stock before Christmas and New Year’s Day, so how about picking one up? For those impatient to see cats preparing and serving ramen bowls, here’s a fortunate gift companion: Lucky Cat by Hajime Okamoto. You usually find maneki neko figurines by the cash register of local restaurants. But Ramen Akaneko doesn’t need any for extra luck, although they could use a calendar. And you, too!
Where and When to Watch Ramen Akaneko Season 2
Ramen Akaneko Season 2 will premiere in Japan in January 2027. The exact date and international streaming partner remain unconfirmed. Crunchyroll streams Season 1 but hasn’t announced Season 2’s availability yet.
Second-Serving Special: Ramen Akaneko Season 2 brings back the shop crew and production team while adding a lively new employee to the menu. Jewel may chase host-club glory, but somebody still needs to take the ramen orders.
