Hikaru is a peerless assassin who uses poison to eliminate his targets. There isn’t a target out there that can escape him. However, his life outside of work is far from perfect. His grandmother demands an heir to their clan, and if he won’t provide one, she’ll force his sister to do it. Hikaru must now rely on his most recent target to pick up a girl. We’ll see how his newest mission plays out when Marriagetoxin (stylized as MARRIAGETOXIN) premieres sometime in 2026.
Joumyaku and Mizuki Yoda released the original Marriagetoxin manga series on April 20th, 2022. Shueisha has since published fifteen volumes in Shonen Jump+.

The assassin and his new marriage coach are as follows:
- Hikaru Gero — Haruki Ishiya (Masato Oosuki from Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?). A ruthless master assassin who uses poison to kill his targets.
- Mei Kinosaki — Shion Wakayama (Henao Jazz from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). A scam artist who crossdresses to marry and rob his targets.

Find the Ideal Bride with Marriagetoxin
Hikaru Gero is the heir of the Poison Clan, one of the Five Great Families of assassins. He had long decided to give up on the very idea of settling down with a woman. Hikaru just finds his assassin job easier than finding a woman to marry. His younger sister Akari keeps reminding him of their grandmother’s desire for an heir to their prominent clan, but he declares his intent to end the family line with him.
Toxic Eligibility in Marriagetoxin
Akari interrupts his most recent assignment to inform him that she has decided to carry out her grandmother’s wish to sire an heir. Their grandmother would have otherwise forced her to leave her girlfriend to marry a guy and have his children, so she decided to do it willingly. Hikaru told her not to do it and that he would sire an heir to continue their clan. To that end, Hikaru freed his target, a person who can charm and marry any man or woman, to help him find a wife.
