For those of you who have been waiting for this franchise to finally answer the burning question that they themselves asked, we have some great news for you.
On Monday, September 7th, the official Twitter account for Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? (otherwise known as DanMachi) revealed that the highly anticipated third season will finally premiere next month on October 2nd. The series was originally supposed to air during the summer season but was delayed because of the worldwide pandemic. The third season will feature the same cast and crew as the previous two seasons but does feature actress Rina Hidaka joining the cast as the new character Wiene.

Originally a light novel written by Fujino Ōmori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda, the series has been running since January 2013. As of October 2020, DanMachi will have sixteen volumes in print in Japan. Yen Press currently holds the English rights to the series and describes the story of the first volume as:
In Orario, fearless adventurers band together in search of fame and fortune within the monstrous underground labyrinth known as Dungeon.
But while riches and renown are incentive enough for most, Bell Cranel, would-be hero extraordinaire, has bigger plans.
He wants to pick up girls.
Is it wrong to face the perils of Dungeon alone, in a single-member guild blessed by a failed goddess? Maybe. Is it wrong to dream of playing hero to hapless maidens in Dungeon? Maybe not. After one misguided adventure, Bell quickly discovers that anything can happen in the labyrinth–even chance encounters with beautiful women. The only problem? He’s the one who winds up the damsel in distress!
The first anime adaptation produced by J.C. Staff premiered in April 2015. The series has since produced two television series and a movie, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion, which was released in 2019.
