An accountant and a planner nurture a budding relationship at a snack company. As much as they enjoy each other’s company, they prefer to keep their relationship a secret. They wouldn’t lose their jobs, but they want to avoid stirring up drama from the office romance fanatics at work. We’ll see how their relationship evolves when I Have a Crush at Work (Kono Kaisha ni Suki na Hito ga Imasu) premieres on January 6th, 2025.
Akamaru Enomoto released the original I Have a Crush at Work manga series between March 7th, 2019, and January 26th, 2023. Kodansha has released all fifteen volumes in Morning.
The secret couple and their megane co-worker are as follows:
- Masugu Tateishi — Seiichiro Yamashita (Adventurer B from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?). An accountant for Tsuda Confectionary.
- Yui Mitsuya — Yume Miyamoto (Nika Nanaura in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). A planner for Tsuda Confectionary. She wants to keep her relationship with Masugu a secret.
- Maria Morizono — Yo Taichi (Suphia from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Another accountant for Tsuda Confectionary.

I Have a Crush at Work but I Can’t Tell Anyone
Masugu Tateishi and Yui Mitsuya started working at Tsuda Confectionary at the same time. There’s a term for that: douki, colleagues who began working at a company in the same year. Masugu works for the accounting department and Yui works for the planning department. They didn’t get along until very recently. Indeed, they became quite close and started dating.
Masugu never had much interest in discussing the romance and drama of office relationships until Yui reacted cutely. She doesn’t want anyone to know about their relationship so she acts coldly towards him. Yui only shows her cute side on weekends or whenever they have a free moment at the office. They have to keep up their public adversarial relationship no matter how much they adore one another.
