There are a lot of great anime premiering this month, but for a lot of anime enthusiasts, nothing is quite as exciting as the long-awaited final season of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru.), otherwise known as Oregairu. Fans have been clamoring for more ever since the second season of the youth romantic comedy wrapped up in the summer of 2015, and now the wait is almost over. If you’re a fan of the series and live outside of Japan, we now know that you’ll be able to catch the show on April 10 when it premieres on the HIDIVE service.
Announced via the official HIDIVE blog, the final season of Oregairu will be titled My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Kan). HIDIVE will be releasing new episodes every Friday at 16:30 UTC with English subtitles in all global territories besides Asia. While HIDIVE has previously done simultaneous dubs for currently airing shows, there is no word on whether or not My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax will be getting that treatment.
Sentai describes the series as follows:
“Based upon the light novels of Wataru Watari, My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU returns with the series’ long-awaited conclusion and resolution to the nail-biting cliffhanger ending of season 2! But the messy emotions of Hachiman, Yukino and Yui won’t be easily expressed, and as the members of the Service Club band together to host a school prom, they will have to put their feelings into words and truly learn to understand each other at long last… if the Service Club can even stay afloat, that is!”
The staff from the second season of the show are set to return to work on this third season. Kei Oikawa, director on season two of the show as well as Hinamatsuri and Outbreak Company, is set to return to direct the third season at studio feel. Keiichiro Ochi, a scriptwriter from season two who also worked on Hinamatsuri and The Quintessential Quintuplets, will be script supervisor on the new season. Yuichi Tanaka is returning as the character designer for the new season, having previously worked on season two and other shows such as A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun.
