With the current anime season having just wrapped up, we’re just one week away from the start of the spring anime season. With the new season arrives a variety of exciting shows, from promising original stories and exciting adaptations to hotly anticipated sequels and more. One of the more interesting shows debuting this April is Tamayomi, a sports anime about girls with gorgeously built legs laying it all out on the field for their hotblooded baseball dreams.
Released via the official website for the upcoming Tamayomi anime, a new minute-long trailer for the show previews some of the characters we can expect to see on the field, alongside the catchy opening theme song for the series. It’s titled “Never Let You Go,” and is performed by singer-songwriter Naho. The ending theme, as previously revealed, is titled “Plus Minus Zero no Hōsoku” (Plus Minus Zero Rule) and will actually be performed by the voice actresses in the show who portray the members of the Shin Koshigaya High School Women’s Baseball Club that the anime focuses on.
Tamayomi is set to premiere in April on AT-X, ABC TV, Metele (Nagoya TV), Tokyo MX, and Kyushu Asahi Broadcasting. Streaming options and overseas localization plans have yet to be confirmed for the show, unfortunately.
The cast of Tamayomi includes:
- Ruriko Noguchi as Nozomi Takamura
- Rina Hon’izumi as Shiragiku Ōmura
- Satomi Amano as Tamaki Yamazaki
- Kaori Maeda as Yomi Takeda
- Nao Shiraki as Yoshino Kawaguchi

- Haruka Yoshimura as Kyōka Fujii
- Airi Eino as Risa Fujiwara

The original manga version of Tamayomi launched back in April of 2016, in the Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine. Houbunsha publishes the series in compiled volumes and plans to publish the seventh volume of the series on April 10.
