Many anime and manga series highlight thrilling adventures in dungeons. Heroes and villains will explore underground labyrinthine structures as they seek treasures of all kinds. Dungeon People (Dungeon no Naka no Hito) looks behind the curtain to show how dungeons work in reality. A skilled thief seeking something other than treasure stumbles upon a hidden world. We’ll see what she finds when this anime series premieres sometime in July 2024. Let’s enjoy the trailer until then.
Sui Futami released the original Dungeon People manga on June 19th, 2020. Futabasha has since published four volumes in the Action Comics imprint.
Our dungeon administrator and her new employee are as follows:
- Belle — Sayumi Suzushiro (Nijika Ijichi from Bocchi the Rock!). The Antomulrag Dungeon administrator and its last floor boss. She hires Clay after defeating her in battle.
- Clay — Sayaka Senbongi (Cixous from Overlord). She is a thief searching for her father. Clay explores the dungeon he visited before his disappearance years ago.

Dungeon People Make Adventures Possible
Dungeon People is a very apt title for this series. A highly skilled thief named Clay ventures out to the Antomulrag dungeon in search of her father. He trained her to become one of the best thieves around. Unfortunately for her, he vanished three years ago. Clay suspects he’s still in the dungeon, so that’s where she goes.
The Adventurers’ Guild has never gone below the seventh floor, even with full parties. However, Clay has reached the ninth floor by herself. That’s where her story took a turn. During a battle with a mighty minotaur, a thrown axe breached a wall and exposed someone’s bedroom. That’s when Clay met Belle, the administrator and final boss of the dungeon. The search for Clay’s father will take a strange turn, especially as Clay becomes Belle’s newest employee.
