Diomedéa has graced fans of magical isekai girls by animating The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent Season 2. For those new to the series, a girl is summoned to another world to be its Saint. However, she wasn’t the only girl drawn there. Surrounded on all sides by magic and monsters, this girl tends a medicinal garden. However, Saints don’t get to watch over gardens. The new season has already premiered, and the trailer will give you an idea of what to expect. “Semisweet Afternoon,” the opening theme, is also pleasant.
Yuka Tachibana, with illustrations by Yasuyuki Syuri, began writing and illustrating The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent (Seijo no Maryoku wa Banno Desu) in February 2017. Fujimi Shobo has since released nine volumes.
The Saint and two of her confidants are as follows:
- Sei Takanashi — Yui Ishikawa (YoRHa No. 2 Type B (2B) in Nier: Automata Ver1.1a) Sei was summoned to Slantania as its new Saint. However, she was the second girl to arrive and was overlooked as an unneeded extra.
- Jude — Taku Yashiro (Sagara Sanosuke in Rurouni Kenshin) Jude works as a researcher for The Medicinal Flora Research Institute. He meets Sei in the royal garden and becomes her first friend in the new world.
- Aira Misono — Kana Ichinose (Suletta Mercury in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) Aira was summoned to Slantania as its new Saint. She was mistakenly identified as the Saint.
Diomedéa has maintained a home page and a Twitter page to promote The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent. Additional series information and extras, such as the key visuals, can be found there. Likewise, the manga artist Aoagu celebrated the new season’s premiere on Twitter.
Diomedéa Appreciates Cute Girls and Isekai Tales
Diomedéa is no stranger to making waifus and isekai series. We discussed Magical Revolution Princess some time ago, and that anime has both. Ron Kamonohashi’s Forbidden Deduction has a girl who might be cute if we saw her without a scowl. Diomedéa began adapting The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent on April 6th, 2021. The first season consisted of thirteen episodes.
Diomedéa’s first project, released July 2nd, 2007, was Nanatsuiro Drops. It’s an adaptation of an adult visual novel that gained some mainstream attention, similar to Fate Stay/night. Like Fate, Nanatsuiro Drops has magical girls who vie for a regular guy.
Diomedéa has also worked on Shinryaku!? Ika Musume, Campione!, and Kantai Collection, among many other beloved anime series.
In Another World with My Sainthood
The Saint’s Magic Power Is Omnipotent follows Sei Takanashi as she is rudely spirited away from her apartment in Japan to the Salutania royal castle. She had just gotten off work late at night and now had to deal with a magical kidnapping. Aira Misono was also taken away from her world, brought there, and was recognized as the True Saint. She was seen as needed to fight off the mist that drew terrible monsters to their home.
While Sei was overlooked by Prince Kyle Salutania, she was still treated well. Her excursion to the royal garden allowed her to indulge her love of medicinal plants. She met Jude there, a researcher for The Medicinal Flora Research Institute. She joined the institute and learned how to make potions. This new job revealed her status as the true Saint, as her potions were far more efficient than others. Her isekai life would begin whether she liked it or not.
