Welcome to The Pickle and Daweeb Show, where we tip-toe like ninjas through a poisoned-stake field of anime and manga news. This week, we give thanks for copyright cake.
Thanksgiving Pickles
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, from all of us here at J-List! Enjoy yourselves, but please, pass on the pickles.
J-List’s Cyber Sale is On
As is tradition around this time of year, our annual Cyber Sale is on, bringing you all the toys for good otaku boys and girls. We’re offering $10 off on orders between $100 and $199.99, and $30 off orders above $200, so you can bring the Christmas magic home.
Peter Payne, your Friend in Japan, recently suggested some great gift ideas, including everything from lotions and onaholes to mousepads, Switch games, and anime figures. As for us, we recommend pre-ordering some emergency rations, because you never know when the next Apocalypse is going to hit and you need Paimon to save you.
Demon Slayer Cake Lady’s Slice of Copyright Court
Copyright laws are about as much fun as a game of Strip Monopoly, outdoors in the icy Alaskan north. Most people don’t understand them, and every now and then somebody loses an appendage. The latest to lose an arm and a leg (figuratively speaking), was a cake-baking, anime-watching, Instagram-posting baker who made about 6.5 million yen off her Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba cakes. I guess you really can’t have your copyright infringement cake and eat it.
Till Next Time
