A popular high school has no shortage of detractors online. Their accusations don’t stop him from living the fun, idyllic life that he cherishes so much. Things seem to continue on as they always have when he begins a new year at school. His friend group has even stayed together in the same class. However, his class adviser has given him a seemingly impossible task. We’ll see if he can accomplish his new mission when Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle (Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka) premieres on October 7th, 2025.
Hiromu and raemz released the original Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle light novel on June 18th, 2019. Shogakukan has since published nine volumes and two short story collections in the Gagaga Bunko imprint.
Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle Cast
The popular boy and two of his cute friends are as follows:
- Saku Chitose — Shogo Sakata (Modaka from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Girls in a Dungeon?). A popular student whom people often called a “playboy” due to his friend group.
- Yua Uchida — Hina Yomiya (Shinju Inui from My Dress-Up Darling). A member of the brass club and Saku’s friend.
- Yuko Hiiragi — Manaka Iwami (Aqua from Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 3: Bonus Stage). A member of the tennis club with an obvious crush on Saku.

Being Popular Isn’t Easy in Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle
Saku Chitose stands at the top of Fuji High School’s social caste. He surrounds himself with equally popular and talented friends, whom he dubs Team Chitose. They often argue about the name, but they stick together regardless. Saku has maintained his friend group and social standing as he enters his sophomore year. His luck changes when his class adviser asks him to get a truant to return to school.
Kenta Yamazaki had slowly stopped attending school the previous year. His teachers and parents have expressed their concerns, but he refuses to leave his room. Saku’s first visit was a total failure. Kenta immediately recognized Saku’s name and called him a “playboy,” the same mocking name used on a revived school forum used by gossipers to insult the popular students. Saku is making repeated visits alongside his cute friends. If all else fails, he has a metal bat, and Kenta has a very breakable window.
