The Pony Canyon YouTube account has released the first trailer for the second season of the Chained Soldier anime. Mato Seihei no Slave’s second season will premiere in January 2026. Apart from showing the updated artwork of the second season, the recently released trailer introduces the commanders of the Demon Defense Force squadrons.
Chained Soldier Season 2 Deets
Mato Seihei no Slave’s second season will include several key production changes. Most notably, Studio Passione and Hayabusa Film will replace Seven Arcs as the show’s animators. Masafumi Tamura will take over the director role from Kuji Goro and Juni Nishimura. Additionally, Keiya Nakano has replaced Yoshii Hiroyuki, the character designer from the first season. Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ website has serialized Chained Soldier since 201`9. Takahiro wrote Mato Seihei no Slave. Yohei Takemura illustrates the manga. Shueisha has released eighteen tankoubon manga volumes. Yen Press releases the series in North America.
Mato Seihei no Slave Synopsis
Wondering what Chained Soldier is about? Imagine you’re trudging through the monotony of life and suddenly portals to a demon realm open. Suddenly, the threats to your existence skyrocket, and your continued time on Earth becomes less assured. Years ago, that’s what happened in Japan when the alternate dimension, Mato, the Demon City, became intertwined with Earth.
When ultra-terrestrial beings entered our world and conflict started, humanity quickly remembered its place on the food chain. That is, until kawaii waifus decided to taste random fruit from the demon world and gained supernatural powers. Once transformed into pseudo-mahou shoujos (am I wrong?), these girls gave humanity a fighting chance. And with their new powers, the Demon Defense Force (DDF) was born — humanity’s only hope against the demon scum.
But then, Yuuki Wakura found himself in the world of Mato, and the DDF’s seventh squadron rescued him. An interesting thing happened: Yuuki became the only male in Japan to fight as a member of the DDF! But there’s a catch — to do so, he has to transform into a fearsome monster and submit himself to the squad’s commander (he has to become a Chained Soldier, if you will). And in return, he gets plenty of ecchi moments!
