Blue Archive the Animation Takes Off

Blue Archive retains its glowing crown as one of the most popular gacha games ever. Its fanbase is so large and powerful that it took down a corrupt South Korean ratings board. It was only a matter of time until these dedicated fans were given an anime adaptation. We’ll have to wait until April 2024 to watch these cute (bunny) girls with guns demolish the competition. Until then, let’s enjoy the trailer.

Nexon Games developed Blue Archive and released it on February 4th, 2021.

The stars of the new trailer (and Best Girls) are as follows:

Shiroko Sunaookami — Yui Ogura (Amatsukaze from Kantai Collection). Shiroko is the field captain of the Countermeasures Committee of the Abydos High School. She stands apart with wolf ears, a cyan halo, and a white SIG SG 550 assault rifle.
Hoshino Takanashi — Yumiri Hanamori (Chinatsu Hayakawa in My Tiny Senpai). Hoshino is the chair of the Countermeasures Committee. She is easily distinguishable by her pink halo, orange and blue eyes, and Beretta 1301 Tactical semi-automatic shotgun.
Ayane Okusora — Sayaka Harada (Miyu Mifune from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls). Ayane is the treasurer of Abydos’s Countermeasures Committee. Known for her red halo, elven ears, and SIG Sauer P229 pistol.
Serika Kuromi — Ayaka Ohashi (Hatsune Kashiwazaki from Princess Connect! Re:Dive). Serika is the secretary of the Countermeasure Committee. She stands out with her magenta halo, cat ears, and a Beretta AR-70/223 assault rifle.
Nonomi Izayoi — Chiyuki Miura (N from Pokémon Evolutions). Nonomi is a member of the Countermeasures Committee. She boasts a green halo and an M134 “Minigun.”

Blue Archive Gathers the Troops

Blue Archive takes place in Kivotos, the city of thousands of academies. The General Student Council keeps order in this massive city of conflicting ideals. This general sense of peace was threatened when the General Student Council President vanished. Countless issues have cropped up since the President’s disappearance. In her absence, the General Student Council requested assistance from the Federal Investigation Club known as SCHALE.

The mysterious Sensei of SCHALE now leads the underfunded Countermeasures Committee of Abydos to maintain order in and around this academy. It won’t be easy, but Sensei has the enviable position of leading cute girls with guns into battle to fight off dangerous threats to Abydos.
