It’s not all joy this Christmas season. The release of the third and final volume of Masahiro Anbe’s Akuma de Fukei! is scheduled for December 5. That means that we’re heading into 2026 with one less fan servicey manga. The past accumulates, remaining years recede, your body grows frailer, and life continues to strip you of quality entertainment.
With a Weekly Young Magazine serialization that lasted less than a year (February 3 to September 29), I know many of you are tempted to scream, “MA! Kashou’s talking about garbage again!” But trust me, dear weeb-kuns, Akuma de Fukei! is the type of manga that you read to relax after a taxing day. This manga has pervy moments, a simple-minded plot, and a ditzy eroi demon girl, and it brings joy. But what’s it about?

Akuma de Fukei! Synopsis
When Daichi Kuwabara started working as a police officer in a rural village, he thought he was getting a Non Non Biyori-style life. He was wrong. Unfortunately for him, a demon traveled from the underworld and started working as a cop! Why? Well, the eroppoi demon wants to turn evil humans into her slaves with the help of her magical tail, and due to Daichi’s stern expression, she’s fixated on him. But, despite being able to use her powers on everything from fish to criminals, Diachi remains untamed.
Determined to make Daichi hers, the “mighty” demon Eclair uses her powers to become Daichi’s partner. But while Eclair’s looks may be top-notch, everything else about her is utterly garbage. So instead of swooning Daichi into becoming hers, all the klutzy demon accomplishes is giving Daichi never-ending headaches. Or, as Umamusume fans would say, “mood downs.”
Akuma de Fukei! is written by the same author who gave us Atsumare! Fushigi Kenkyuu-bu, and Shinryaku! Ika Musume.
