The “Magical Shota” with “Juicy Thighs” has returned with a second season. A nobleman challenged a magic fanatic of humble origins to a duel. Fire magic quickly struck him down, which should have ended his story. He was instead reborn as a lower nobleman with more magic power and time to master it than he could have ever hoped. We’ll see what he does with his second chance when I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability (Tensei shitara Dainana Ouji Datta node, Kimama ni Majutsu wo Kiwamemasu) returns sometime in July 2025.
Kenkyo na Circle and Meru released the original Reincarnated as the 7th Prince light novel on July 2nd, 2020. Kodansha has since published eight volumes in the Kodansha Ranobe Bunko imprint. Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab’s anime adaptation premiered on April 2nd, 2024.
The reborn mage and two of his cute friends are as follows:
- Lloyd de Saloum — Makoto Koichi (Reito Mizuhara from World’s End Harem). A studious mage who was reborn in the royal family. He desires to learn and master all forms of magic.
- Iisha — Manaka Iwami (Linie from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). A kindhearted nun who has a history with Lloyd.
- Saria — Minami Tsuda (Iris’s Axew from Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes!). Lloyd’s older sister and the fourth princess of the Kingdom of Saloum.

A Magic Fanatic Is Reincarnated as the 7th Prince
A commoner with a great deal of magical knowledge hit a wall in his magical study. His magical potential was subpar, and he couldn’t reach the levels of power he so desired. The commoner’s journey seemed to end when a nobleman burned him alive with fire magic. In a strange twist of fate, he was reborn as Lloyd Saloum, the seventh prince of the kingdom. He also outranked his proud murderer, so there’s that.
Lloyd may be the prince, but he has no real shot at the throne. This leaves him with near-limitless time and resources to continue his magical research. He also has a near-limitless amount of magic to achieve whatever heights he could wish for. He’ll need every drop of magic and wisdom to save everyone with demons on the rise.
