It’s been a while since season one of Tonikawa Over the Moon for You (Tonikaku Kawaii, Fly Me to the Moon) aired, hasn’t it? The boy named after a famous space program, and the girl with an unearthly beauty share a romance that really makes you root for them. The second season will premiere on April 7th, so until then, here’s a trailer.
Seven Arcs maintains an official Twitter page and a promotional home page dedicated to Tonikawa Over the Moon for You, providing fans with behind the scenes information and key visuals such as the one below.
A Boy Born to Explore Space, a Girl Who Might Be From Space
For those new to the series, Tonikawa Over the Moon for You follows Nasa Yuzaki, a boy named after NASA, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. This fact has earned him the ire of the people around him since childhood. He meets a mysterious beauty named Tsukasa Yuzaki, and he is drawn to her right away, though he suffers a bit of tunnel vision when she becomes his whole world. Then he’s hit by a truck. Unlike Truck-kun the Isekai Deliverer, Nasa is saved by the girl he had feelings for. Tsukasa gives him the terms of her accepting his confession: he has to marry her before they can date. He immediately agrees, and awakens in a hospital.
Nasa is distraught that he cannot find her after the incident. It isn’t until his eighteenth birthday that they reunite, when Tsukasa knocks on his door with a marriage form, beginning their relationship.
