What happens when you enter random words in Google Translate, set the language to Japanese, and add some EDM mixes into them? COOL. AWESOME. BEATS.
A YouTube user named Heiakim has been quite popular lately due to his uploads of catchy songs created with Japanese language Google Translate and using the mixing software Ableton. They are just so upbeat that they make you want to abuse YouTube’s loop button—I did apparently.
His uploaded music on YouTube are also available on Spotify (if you want to listen to them on the go!) You can also check out his other stuff on his YouTube channel.
For now, here are my top 3 songs (in no particular order):
1. Counting!! (Zero Zero Zero Zero)
I swear to God, I haven’t stopped listening to this since it was uploaded the past week. The song is kind of uplifting for me especially on the “zero zero zero zero” part.
2. Hotto Dogu
This was the song that got him so popular. I remember how this video was reshared a lot of times in Facebook. I can’t deny it– the song is indeed catchy!
3. Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, OMAE WA MOU SHINDEIRU!
There are no words to express these beats but… OMAE WA MOU SHINDEIRU!
For someone who is a listener of EDM and a fan of Japanese Anime and Culture, these songs are something. I look forward to what Heiakim will work on next!
