That’s a valuable life lesson for any setting — tackle other tasks while you wait for something to process.

You could call it multitasking, but I call it overlapping priorities. For example, take kitchen duties. You can preheat the oven while prepping ingredients. It’s not like you can make the oven heat faster by staring at the progress meter. But you can maximize and optimize your time. As the oven’s temperature rises, you can fill the bakeware with your dish, so it’s ready to slide in when the oven’s set. Sawaranaide Kotesashi-kun applies the same lesson to watching an injury heal.
Instead of lying in bed letting her basketball skills rust, Kouyou suggested Aroma strengthen her core, which put no strain on her ankles.
