Ren works at a busy café after school.
Episode 4 – “Working Tights”
Hmm.
I like the continuity in this show. When we first saw Ren at the coffee shop, she was bored and texting with Yua as she did her social media photo shoot. Today, she’s running into a packed restaurant, in which she and the manager can barely keep up. I think we all noticed that most of the new clientele are teenage boys who have become big fans of a waitress in tights.
I also like how the manager and Ren have become a real team. By the time that little kid’s ice cream was cleaned up, the manager had a replacement for Ren to place before him. Ren really is that earnest and honest type. I’m not surprised she’s drawn a crowd of boys hoping she’ll dote on them too.
Heh.
It’s time for the very important transformation scene from high school girl in tights to waitress in tights.
Do these boys go to her same school? Doesn’t she recognize any of them? Maybe she doesn’t even pay attention to boys, except when Homi is about to show her tights again.
Yes. Cleaning tables requires technique. Ren puts her hips into it!
Good teamwork to stop that kid from crying.
This coffee shop closes kind of early, but I suppose it caters to the after school and work crowd.
Massage those feet. Standing for hours in those tight penny loafers can pinch the tootsies.
It USED to be easy work with hardly any customers. I wonder what changed, hmmm.
Ha! The Master straight out admits that Ren brought in the customers, but Ren’s not even listening. Her mind is like a floating feather in the wind… rushing toward karaoke!
The Master appears to be a good businessman and a good judge of character.
I wish the end cards had notes on who the artists are. To find out who illustrated them, you have to go to the Miru Tights twitter page. Again, that’s good cross-media promotion.
This week, we have Himura Kiseki, @strangestone, the artist known for the Tawawa on Monday series, plus numerous character designs for other anime, manga, and light novels.
