Instagram user gomi_sutero (which roughly translates to “throw your trash away you filthy bastard”), posts pictures of her husband’s household messiness to the image sharing platform, while proving just how clean the Japanese can be.
The above image caption reads “don’t be silly.” Clearly, she has failed to prioritize her husband’s need for tinfoil hats over her own needs for fresh leftovers. Come the alien apocalypse, I think we can all agree who’ll have the better chance of survival.

“Is that a door stop?” is another typically snide comment you’ll find captioning her photos. Obviously, here’s a man who was refueling on the go. By discarding his waste so elegantly, he has sent a clear message on behalf of all men, to the world at large — “let no obstacle stand in our way.”
You may argue that her methods are a valid means of getting her husband to change his slovenly ways, except that he’s apparently unaware of his wife’s social media sharing habits. I’m still wrapping my head around how clean this raincoat-come-doormat is. Unfortunately, this multifunctional home item has yet to replace their inferior Parisian genkan furniture.
The hidden message behind all of gomi_sutero’s posts is that Japanese homes — in general, and hers in particular — are relatively spotless. As a husband and one that seldom sees the surface of his desk, I applaud gomi_sutero and her spouse for floors and walls that you could eat raw fish off.
Anyway, gotta run, I’m off to check the wife’s social media accounts.
