Azur Lane has been trending these past couple of weeks. In fact, its hype is almost in the same level as DMM and Kadokawa’s Japanese browser game Kantai Collection.
Like Kantai Collection, Azur Lane is a game where players can obtain and play with cute and beautiful anthropomorphize ship girls. A majority have praised it for its different game mechanics as well as the unique art of each character.
While some people are still in debate with which game is better, some cosplayers have already started portraying these ship girls! One of them is sherryken777, a cosplayer from China.
Earlier this month, she posted beautiful cosplay photos of herself as the Azure Lane characters Kaga and Akagi. Japanese netizens were amazed to how accurate her cosplays are (not to mention that there’s only very few official art being released). Check out her awesome cosplay below:
Unlike Kantai Collection‘s Kaga, Azur Lane‘s version of the character is being portrayed as a white nine-tailed fox girl.
Similar to Kaga, Akagi is also portrayed as a fox in the game.
This isn’t the first time that sheryken777’s cosplay set became so popular. In fact, a photo set of her cosplaying as Idolmaster‘s Ranko Kanzaki received more than 40,500 likes and 15,900 retweets last August.
As the game’s popularity continues to grow internationally, it wont be long until we get to see more ship girl cosplays in the future.
