Stunning sunsets, dancing disco music at Gutalax concerts, and Alp’s illustrations always make me smile. I can’t share the first two with you right now, but I can share the third! Anyone who’s been a faithful J-List patron knows that we love Alp. Even our partners at FAKKU share our adoration. But with thousands of doujin artists and R18 illustrators out there, what makes Alp special?
Like most illustrators, Alp has been around for longer than most think. While his Comic Bavel debut in April 2015 introduced Alp to the otaku world, Alp’s available illustrations stretch back over 15 years. Like other otaku, I was introduced to Alp through his Love Live! illustrations. Before I became a regular fixture on the J-List Blog, I was a mod for several anime groups on Facebook, most of which were Love Live! -centric groups. Not a day went by when someone didn’t test the admin team and Meta’s community policy by trying to post Alp’s Love Live! hentai. Being a cultured individual, I usually “accidentally” approved the posts.

The World of Alp
But doujins aren’t Alp’s only work. Did you know that he illustrates Takata’s Toshiue Elite Onna Kishi ga Boku no Mae de dake Kawaii fantasy rom-com light novel? If the name Taka sounds familiar, that’s because they wrote I Became Friends with the Second Cutest Girl in the Class. But we’re all here for the lewdness, so let’s talk about that! FAKKU has published several of Alp’s doujins in English. Some of them include: Alluring Alcohol, Attraction to Chains, The Show Must Go On, and Reward Poolside.
Over on the J-List store, you can buy Amoral Island and the 400-page Sex With Your Otaku Friend is Mindblowing Omnibus. Several studios have adapted Alp’s doujins into OVAs. Titles like Studio BreakBottle’s Yamitsuki Mura: Melty Limit The Animation, and Studio Seven’s Immoral Routine The Animation are crowd favorites. Speaking of Alp-related things that otaku love, their onaholes are always a conversation starter. No, there’s no onahole modeled after Alp. But there’s a certain R18 lady illustrator whose private parts have birthed an onahole (although not under her name). And that’s all I can tell you about that.
But I can tell you that Tamatoys’ Otaku Tomodachi To No Sex Wa Saikou Ni Kimochiii Miyoshi onahole and hip toy are mind-blowing! Ha! I was punny.
Where Did Your Love for Alp Start?
The other day I wrote about Pink Pineapple and Studio 1st adapting Majime na Kimi ni Hamary Karada. In that article, I mentioned that Hoshizora Summer Line was the doujin that hooked me. But that instant fascination expanded into what is now an almost decade-long love for Alp.
Here’s a dumb story for you. Regular readers know I love sport fishing. Some time ago, I was flying into Houston, and this huge customs officer with inner-city vibes noticed the Love Live! Ruby and Hanamaru hentai stickers on my fishing rod case. I was panicking, thinking they’d get me in trouble (my normie rod case broke, so I had my weeb one). But the dude laughed and asked, “Why I had to do the first-years like that?!” I laugh whenever I remember that.
