Have you ever found your train on the departure board and wondered if you were on the correct platform? And what if all the train station staff who helped you were cute girls like you? TETSURYO! Meet with Tetsudou Musume turns that platform panic into a cozy college adventure about a student finding herself while discovering Japan by rail with the Railway Travel Club. Your next connection departs October 8, 2026.

College Life Meets the Tetsudou Musume Railway World
TETSURYO! follows Misaki Sata, a college student who enters school without a clear plan for her future. Her routine changes when she encounters the Railway Travel Club, also known as the Tetsuryo-kai (shortened from 鉄道旅行同好会, tetsudou ryokou doukoukai — railway travel club). Misaki joins three fellow students as they travel around Japan and discover new possibilities through its railway network.

The anime draws on TOMYTEC’s Tetsudou Musume (Railway Girls) franchise that features characters inspired by women working in railway-related jobs. That concept gives the series a natural station-of-the-week structure. Each journey can introduce another destination or railway operator while moving Misaki toward a clearer sense of purpose. Character development now comes with transfers.
The TETSURYO! Cast and Crew Punch Their Tickets
The main cast turns the Railway Travel Club into a boarding group of four:

- Misaki Sata — May Tachibana. A first-year student learning about trains while searching for what she wants from the future.
- Kodama Orihara — Mao Shouji. The Railway Travel Club’s dependable third-year president and a passionate railway expert who can get carried away talking about trains.
- Ushio Yagami — Haruna Fukushima. An outgoing third-year who hopes to win over video audiences with station-box lunches and regional cuisine.
- Usa Harutachi — Hika Tsukishiro. A quiet second-year who loves retro-cute things and carries a camera on every railway trip.
Keeping the cast on the same track, the TETSURYO! production staff includes:
- Animation production — East Fish Studio
- Director — Misuzu Hoshino
- Series composition and scripts — Aya Satsuki
- Character design — Naofumi Hashimoto
- Music — Sounosuke Takao
- Opening theme — “GO! GO! RAILWAY!!” by Asaka
- Ending theme — “Watashi Miraisen” by the Tetsuryo Club
Naofumi Hashimoto’s character-design work on Yuru Camp Season 3 makes him a fitting choice for a travel-focused anime driven by female friendship. That experience could help TETSURYO! pair expressive everyday character acting with scenery inviting enough to send viewers searching for ticket prices before the ending credits finish. The destination ahead is familiar territory for Yuru Camp fans.
Yuru Camp Comfort Meets Tamayura Discovery

TETSURYO! shares Yuru Camp’s joy of watching female friends turn travel logistics into cozy entertainment. A route map and a scenic platform can carry an episode when the group chemistry feels natural. Railways also give the new series a broad canvas, letting each excursion introduce another town and another reason to enjoy the journey.
That travel-club comfort also carries TETSURYO! toward a coming-of-age destination. Tamayura: Hitotose (2011) used photography and journeys through coastal Hiroshima to explore a young woman’s growing sense of purpose through friendship. Misaki begins TETSURYO! with uncertainty about her future, and railway travel offers her a practical way to encounter possibilities beyond campus.
That approach could make TETSURYO! a strong iyashikei — a “healing” story designed to leave viewers relaxed. Yuru Camp provides a helpful model for laid-back group travel. Meanwhile, Tamayura shows how scenic outings can support quiet personal growth. Trains add forward motion. Sometimes character development really does run on schedule.
