A New Face In The JAV World: Iroha Hakata
One word I struggled with when I first arrived in Japan was “gravure,” since it’s not a word we use in English. It comes from “photogravure,” a late 19th-century printing technique that enabled high-quality color photo reproduction. In Japan, a “gravure idol” is a swimsuit model who will do sexy photo shoots for magazines and videos, but nothing involving nudity.
The newest face in the JAV world is Iroha Hakata (博多彩葉). She made a huge name for herself in the gravure idol world before taking the plunge into full 18+ performing. She first wowed her fans with an “ALL NUDE” performance, shrugging off her swimsuit and showing herself to her fans nude for the first time. Then we got her “first experience” video as she officially debuted as a JAV actress. She currently has five Blu-ray releases, which you can browse here.
Iroha Hakata is from Fukuoka Prefecture on Japan’s southernmost island of Kyushu. This makes her stage name kind of an inside joke, as Hakata is a major city there. It’s famous for Hakata ramen, Hakata dolls, and, apparently, beautiful women like Iroha. The I-cup girl was studying law at a university when she was discovered and scouted into the gravure world. This was part of how she was marketed to fans: as a 現役JD, or an enrolled university student studying law.
Her stats are the kind of thing that makes you check twice: 158 cm tall, B95 / W56 / H88, and an I-cup chest attached to an absolutely angelic baby face. We love seeing her body in action, whether she’s doing a sexy swimsuit pose or shyly performing in a JAV production.
