The winner of 2018’s Project ANIMA is finally taking the stage. Three friends live casual, comfortable, and fun lives in the downtown area of their extraordinary town. Even a simple game of capture the flag involves superpowers and robotic attachments. Their lives raise more questions, and since this isn’t an adaptation, we will have no answers until the show premieres. Still, there are cute girls with superpowers, and that is always something worth fighting for. We’ll see how their magical lives play out when Mebius Dust premieres sometime in July 2026. The first two minutes are already available to watch.

Hajime Shinagawa submitted the original concept Möbius Dust in the 2018 Project ANIMA contest. Tarou Iwasaki and Yoriko Tomita are working on the Mebius Dust series proper with Doga Kobo.
Mebius Dust Cast
The three friends are as follows:

- Araki — Yuto Takenaka (Shun Yoshizumi from Oshi no Ko). Araki is Stella’s older brother and a keen tactician.
- Stella — Nene Hieda (KMS Elbe from Azur Lane). Stella is Araki’s cheerful younger sister with robotic legs.
- Olga — Haruka Sato (Hijita’s Sister from A Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School!). Olga is Stella’s stylish childhood friend with magical hair.
Studio Doga Kobo maintains a website and a Twitter (X) account to promote Mebius Dust. You can find more information about the series and the key visuals at those sites.
Don’t Get Left in the Mebius Dust
Araki, Stella, and Olga live carefree, exciting lives in the downtown area of their home city. These typical high school students live in a world where a giant crystal structure floats above their city. How it got there and what it’s doing is unclear. Whether it’s connected to people using superpowers isn’t clear either, but I wouldn’t be surprised. These three friends take part in a unique version of capture the flag.

Stella, her brother, and her childhood friend are part of a six-man team that plays capture the flag using impressive parkour and supernatural powers. For her part, Olga can manipulate her hair to grab and throw things, like her friend. Stella’s robotic legs further aid her parkour skills. While not a superpower, she can land with ease and skate along the ground. However, her opponent’s eye flash stunned her long enough for the opposing team to take the win.
