A new anime season starts this week, and with that comes the usual “What should I watch, and who’s streaming it?” A few years back, this was a straightforward question to answer. It would either be Crunchyroll or Funimation. Now, every streaming company wants to ride the waifu train. But thanks to your friends at J-List, you don’t have to scour multiple sites to see who’s streaming what. As we do every season, here is a “brief” guide on where to watch all of Winter 2026’s cultured anime.
Usually, this article focuses on ecchi titles, but winter doesn’t offer many of them. So, since the world’s all in on inclusivity, let’s round up anything with anime tiddies.

There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless… — YouTube (Harem)
Renako and her yuri harem are back, and I couldn’t be happier. The biggest problem in the harem genre is that every MC lacks balls. Luckily, in 2025, we got Renako from There’s No Freaking Way I’ll Be Your Lover! Unless…, and she had balled the size of Texas. Renako got frisky with everyone. That’s why we loved this cultured anime so much.
But my love doesn’t sell an anime. A synopsis does. Like many introverts, Renako Amaori cursed her inability to connect with those around her. But unlike most introverts, Renako made a herculean attempt to change herself. When she graduated from middle school, she enrolled in a high school far from home and reinvented herself. Her transformation was so successful that she quickly became a popular normie. However, with success comes problems, and Renako’s problem is that she has transformed herself into one of the most sought-after girls in her school!
REMOW’s It’s Anime YouTube channel will release all five episodes of the Watanare continuation on January 1. These episodes screened as a theatrical film in Japan back in November.

Chained Soldier: Winter’s Most Cultured Anime — HIDIVE (Ecchi)
We started 2026 with a single ecchi. If that’s not a sign of the ills to come, I don’t know what is. Either way, much like Renako and her gayness, the Chained Soldier girls are back to dominate! Two years after season 1’s premiere, the battles in Mato are once again coming to HIDIVE. That means if you live outside the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, or New Zealand, you’re screwed. Thankfully, our sponsors SURFSHARK… Yeah, nah, that’s not how that works. I’m only here to sell doujins, not crappy VPNs.
A sexy twist on the “wandered into another dimension” story, Chained Soldier takes place in a version of Japan that constantly deals with the alternate dimension, Mato. As the line between that dimension and ours blurs, monsters called Shuuki spill over into our world, and humans wander into Mato. Luckily for humanity, we soon discover that feeding magical fruits from Mato to sexy waifus is the key to salvation. And with that, the Demon Defense Corps is born.
Mato Seihei no Slave follows Yuuki Wakura as he becomes part of humanity’s fight by perving it up with the Demon Defense Corps girls. HIDIVE will begin simulcasting this cultured animeon January 8.

Ichigo Aika: Strawberry Elegy — OceanVeil (Hentai)
OceanVeil seems poised to be the home of cultured anime. Or at the very least, it’s the home of hentai. Put it this way: if hentai titles were gyarus, OceanVeil is Imaizumi. They bring all the gals to their house. And they’re bringing Akia to their home on January 4. Well, kind of. OceanVeil debuted the first Ichigo Aika episode on December 12, so you can decide if this cultured anime is for you.
Getting a stepsibling is always a nerve-racking affair. While you’d like to get along, there’s always that doubt that you’ll be incompatible. When Kota Takamura met his new stepsister, Aika, he thought she was a klutzy, kawaii gyaru. Or at least that’s what he thought until she opened her mouth. After that, it was a downhill Bakushin-style sprint. To make matters worse, despite the facade that Aika places for her parents, she’s constantly banging different guys when they’re not at home. But when a no-condom romp puts Aika in an uncomfortable situation, and her onii-chan tries to save the day, their relationship changes.

Ren Arisugawa Is Actually a Girl — OceanVeil (Hentai)
If a dollar had magically spawned in my wallet every time I saw a cultured anime with a reverse trap, I’d have about twenty dollars. I’m not bashing those shows. I’m merely stating the obvious. Either way, the horny streaming service, OceanVeil, will simulcast the Arisugawa Ren tte Honto wa Onna Nanda yo ne anime adaptation starting on January 4. The first episode is already available.
Imagine if your cousin were famous. What would you do about that? If you’re anything like Kyo Arisugawa, you’d try to use that relation to bolster your chances of getting laid. However, despite Kyo’s constant bragging, he hasn’t seen his famous cousin in years. But one night, when he comes home drunk and disheveled after a failed mixer, he finds the famous Arisugawa waiting for him at his apartment. Iso Kyo invites him into his home and decides that the best way to welcome Ren is to wank in front of him. But it’s that wank that leads him to realize that his famous cousin isn’t actually a he!

Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? — If iRobot Were a Cultured Anime — Unlicensed (Erotica)
Not every seasonal show gets a Western release. Regional availability is an unfortunate part of being a weeb. I waited and hoped that OceanVeil would announce this title, but it seems like it’s a lost cause. I’ll still promote the release of Does It Count If You Lose Your Virginity to an Android? in case it’s someone’s last-minute addition.
We’ve all been there. It’s past midnight, you’re at the end of your second bottle of Macallan, and the horniness calls. If you’re poor, you flick through your favorite doujin and have a wank, or you call an ex and ask, “Hey, watchu doing?” But if money isn’t an issue, you order a sex bot! 28-year-old Akane Tsuda falls into the latter category. While Akane may seem like the perfect employee and coworker, at home, she’s a sloppy drunk who bemoans never getting laid. And that horniness (plus a lot of drinking) leads her to buy a sex bot! But when Akane sobers up and realizes the gravity of her actions, she must quickly adapt to a situation that could turn negative.

Which Cultured Anime Will You Watch This Coming Season?
OceanVeil has already debuted the first episodes of Ichigo Aika and Ren Arisugawa Is Actually a Girl. They did not impress me, so I’m skipping those. However, I’m eagerly waiting for the other three cultured anime on this list. What about you? Drop your watch list in the comments below. Ja ne!
