Crunchyroll will release all three episodes of the newly officially titled OVA, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Visions of Coleus, on October 31st! To celebrate this announcement, Crunchyroll posted the English-subtitled version of the trailer we reported on previously to its official YouTube channel.
The new three-episode OVA premieres at 8 a.m. Pacific on October 31st. It will be available in the following regions: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
As previously reported, Visions of Coleus is a four-part short story within the season two Blu-ray release booklets. Crunchyroll’s official synopsis of the story reads:
“Rimuru has saved the children he was teaching in the Kingdom of Engrassia, and his time as a teacher is nearly over. Then Yuuki, Grandmaster of the Free Union, asks him to get to the bottom of the race for the throne in the Kingdom of Coleus, which is located between Engrassia and the Holy Empire of Lubelius. So Rimuru infiltrates Coleus under the name “Satoru,” and he finds a nation at the mercy of not only a battle for succession, but a web of schemes woven by demons and vampires!”
Studio 8-Bit, which has overseen nearly everything related to the anime portion of this franchise, handles the OVA’s animation. Atsushi Nakayama will continue to sit in the director’s chair. He’ll work with the newcomer to the franchise, Toshizo Nemoto, who directs the series composition. Last, Hitoshi Fujima from Elements Garden will compose the background music.
BACKGROUND
Originally a light novel series written by author Fuse on the famous Japanese novel site, Shōsetsuka ni Narō, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is ramping up quickly toward its grand conclusion. Fuse has already stated that he wishes to end the series with volume 22, but only he knows if that will be possible.
Meanwhile, I’m still trying to catch up on what anime has been released so far, including the movie Scarlet Bond. And now this new OVA that premieres on my birthday, no less! So much anime and so little time.
Remember that if you want to bring home a bit of the slime world, J-List stocks delightful items, including this stunning figure of the demon lord Milim Nava from Prime1Studio!
