While they aren’t a massive hit in English speaking countries, otome dating simulation games are a massive draw in China and Japan. We may associate dating sims with the visual of greasy otaku boys desperately attempting to woo virtual idol girls, but the inverse visual is just as prevalent. Of the countless dating simulation games about courting impossibly handsome young men via the comfort of your smartphone, one of the biggest hits is Chinese “super-powered dating simulation game” Koi to Producer: EVOLxLOVE. Developed by Papergames and launched on December 20th, 2017, the stylish dating sim has already gotten over 90 million downloads on iOS and Android across multiple regions.
