On Thursday, April 23rd, it was announced that a television anime adaptation has been green-lit for the mobile RPG Magatsu Wahrheit. The anime is scheduled to air by the end of 2020. The official title for the new anime will be Magatsu Wahrheit Zuerst and it features a pretty stellar cast and crew! It seems like a weird time to announce a brand new anime production, but more power to the crew if they can pull this off before the end of the year.
Before we get into the details though, let’s all take a look at this minute-long promotional video.
Originally developed by KLabGames, the Magatsu Wahrheit Zuerst will feature animation produced by Yokohama Animation Lab and have Naoto Hosoda (The Devil is a Part-Timer) serving as director and creator of the series composition alongside Yuichiro Momose. Character designs are being done by Akiko Sugizono, while Masaru Yokoyama is composing the background music.

The world is Wahrheit, a dark place that has been dragged to the brink of extinction by ten pillars of light. Players join the elite, mobile fighting force known as the Kidou Heidan which has sworn to take up arms against those that threaten to destroy humanity, working alongside friends and other players to battle this danger to the human race.
We don’t have an exact month for when this series will premiere but with so many other productions getting delayed because of COVID-19, we’re all keeping our fingers crossed that this series will be able to step in and fill one of the many scheduling gaps that have been created during the pandemic.
