Episode 5 – “Swimsuit Tights”
Hmm.
I knew it! I knew, at some point, Homi was going to get in trouble for her habit of easily lifting her skirt in class. Her actions in the first episode, and then to the third episode where she wanted to replace her tights in homeroom, have all been building to this moment where she flashes all the boys in the class. That’s a good payoff to a personality quirk introduced a long time ago.
One thing I wondered, after reading through the Miru Tights twitter feed and Yom’s postings during this time, is how the original artwork of Homi wearing pantyhose over a swim team swimsuit could have happened with that look on her face. Perhaps the owners of Yom’s art books already knew the answer, but I’m an anime only consumer, so I was very curious how Homi could have ended up in such a situation of wearing tights, a swimsuit, and a sexily expectant facial expression. Well, my questions were answered in a readily understood cascade of circumstances, which relied on the established character development of the impulsive, slightly self-centered Homi.
Oh, that wasn’t a sexy look on Homi’s face. I know that now. That was a drowsy, lacking in self-awareness look, which is very much in keeping in what we know of Homi. What a precious scatterbrain! Now, please, Homi. Stop lifting your skirt in front of boys. You should have outgrown that in kindergarten.
Heh.

Overslept! But not really. Homi forgot the swim practice schedule had changed.
So that’s an innocent reason for a girl wearing pantyhose over a sporty swimsuit. How did I get this old never knowing such a thing?
She’s late! But not really. Time to nap without fully undressing.
The music was fast, but then it slowed down when Homi realized she had made a mistake.
Of course, Homi has a messy sleeping face. So unguarded and full of openings.
That’s so Homi. Ha!
Ren calls it. Goofy, flustered, and carefree at the same time. That’s our Homi!

Those poor boys. Wanting to look, but they know it’s just Homi doing her thing.
