Being an anime blogger is great: if Mrs. J-List ever gets on my case for watching too much anime, I can tell her it’s for work, even if I’m just re-watching classic anime from decades ago. But while watching anime every day is a lot of fun, it’s important to have other hobbies, too. I asked J-List customers what they enjoyed doing besides watching anime, and these are the responses we got!
What Do You Do Besides Watching Anime? J-List Customers Respond!
Living a balanced life is important, and even though we all might love living the otaku life, we should also try to have healthy hobbies besides watching anime. Let’s find out what your fellow J-List customers do for fun!
I keep up with Professional Wrestling: THE SPORT OF KINGS!
I collect model trains and drive my car. Love going on drives where the road has curves.
What do I do besides watching anime? Leaving aside what most people do (watch movies, play video games, read), I draw/paint. I’ve also been an amateur NFL analyst for at least 12 years.
I play video games, of course. What else is there?
Building model kits. Going through the decades of music by years to build my playlists (currently on 1962). Watching wrestling. And reading light novels/mangas.
“Breathing is fun.” Not during allergy season.
Engineer and apprentice machinist for a living, PC gamer/sim racer in my free time. I also pit crew for a local stock car racing team on weekends.
Drink beer.
Besides watching anime, I read books/manga/LNs, write weird crossover fanfics, read weird crossover fanfics, play video games, cook, and try new foods.
Playing eroge.
Sleeping.
Browsing new anime to add to the already too-long watchlist?
What does Peter Do Outside of Anime?
What do I do besides watching anime? Quite a lot. Running a business is a 15+ hour-a-day job, so I’m often working on scripts or other tools to manage my workload. I like to follow stonks. I browse Reddit and Imgur to look at memes, and follow important world events over on YouTube. I’m also trying to get into shape — or really, go on a pre-diet so I’m prepared for visiting the U.S. for Anime Expo in two months, which always results in weight gain — and you can usually find me in a small home gym I built last year, or at my local larger gym.
