The initial trailer might have been fun and heart-pounding, but it didn’t give us a premiere date. Our questioning time is over, so get your calendars ready. Yoki is yet another isekai protagonist who saw the business end of a traffic accident. He became a powerful demon in another world. Then he spent two decades fighting off hero parties to defend the Demon King. Yoki leaves his post and follows the Hero Party’s Cleric like a love-sick puppy. We’ll see if their love story can come to be when There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her (Yusha Party ni Kawaii Ko ga Ita node, Kokuhaku shitemita.) premieres on January 6th, 2026.

Time to Quit the Demon Army! There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, So I Tried Confessing to Her
Yoki Segawa’s life ended abruptly in Japan. A traffic accident sent him to another world, where he was reborn as a powerful demon. He took a post in the Demon King’s army as the captain of the dark knights rather than exploit his overwhelming power to become the Demon King. A chance meeting with the Hero Party’s Cleric Cecilia Aquarain made him consider a change in profession. Yoki confessed to her, and she suggested that he come with her to the outside world.

The Hero’s Party takes this opportunity to defeat the Demon King and save humanity from his wrath. Yoki leaves the castle, removes his demonic horns and demonic wings, and settles in Minerva to become an adventurer. He pursues Cecelia as a romantic interest and sees the cute side that few others do. Yoki also forms unexpected bonds with the rest of the Hero’s Party. He’d better keep his demon heritage and isekai status a secret. Cecelia knows, but he’s trying to date her.
