Pride Royal Ivy is one of those unfortunate isekai protagonists who spawn in with a long list of things to do. Sure, she has the killer body and killer magic, but none of that can stop her bad end. Pride is the unforgivable villainess of the otome game Our Ray of Light. This new Pride swears to fight to change everyone’s fate. We’ll see how she prevails against the game’s arcs when The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior (Higeki no Genkyo to naru Saikyo Gedo Last Boss Joo wa Min no tame ni Tsukushimasu) Season 2 premieres sometime in April 2026.

Make Way for The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen
Pride Royal Ivy was once a normal Japanese girl who loved the otome game Our Ray of Light. What should have been a dream-come-true quickly turned into a nightmare when she died and was reborn into the world of her favorite game. But she wasn’t the protagonist. No, she was the irredeemably evil villainess Pride. With her memories of the game awakened, Pride will avert her fate as the villainess and save the people the old Pride would have utterly destroyed. At least she’s on friendly terms with the game’s actual protagonist, her younger sister Tiara Royal Ivy.

The new trailer introduces two potential love interests, royal princes who could not be more different. Leon Adonis Coronaria is the firstborn prince of the Anemone Kingdom, the one destined to take the throne. His kind smile hides a deep sorrow and a longing for freedom. On the other hand, Cedric Silva Lowell, the secondborn prince of Cercis, is a true narcissist who uses his good looks to get what he wants. Maybe pride can cometh before the fall now. The trailer ends on a high note: a scene of evil Pride wielding a whip. A few of you cultured fellows either believe you can fix her or that she does not need to be fixed.
