Many isekai fans would love to appear in their favorite stories. Who wouldn’t want to become a great hero and save the world? This might be especially true if the isekai fan in question wrote the story herself. One such woman got her wish, but a monkey’s paw curled somewhere, and she was reborn as the villainess of her tale. We’ll see how she survives a world born of her younger self’s delusions when The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess (Tensei Akujo no Kuro Rekishi) premieres on October 9th, 2025.
Akiharu Toka released the original The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess manga series on August 24th, 2018. Hakusensha has since published sixteen volumes and a short story in LaLa.
The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess Cast
The reborn villainess, her saint-like sister, and a mysterious figure are as follows:

- Iana Magnolia / Konoha Sato — Yoshino Aoyama (Hitori Goto from Bocchi the Rock!). A woman who grew out of her middle school delusions only to end up in a world born of those younger delusions.
- Konoha Magnolia — M.A.O (Lena Tally from Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? II). A saint-like princess who loves her younger, evil sister.
- Yomi Blacksarena — Shun’ichi Toki (Kiyoshi from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba). A mysterious noble from another country that Konoha Sato never created.
Studio Deen has maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess. You can find more series information and the Key Visuals there.

The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess Starts Anew
Konoha Sato spent her formative years in middle school and high school writing Dark History. She poured all of her delusions and chunibyo tendencies into it. A beautiful princess beloved by all, surrounded by handsome men who desire her hand, and an evil sister who relentlessly bullies her. Konoha always aspired to be a lovely person like Princess Konoha. She even dreamed of ending up in another world, just like in her favorite isekai stories. Her dream came true when she grew up and became an adult.

Truck-kun arrived a bit too late and sent Konoha into the world of Dark History. She awoke as Iana, the villainess’s younger sister, rather than Konoha, the lovely princess she named after herself. Iana faced a terrible death in the original story, a fate Konoha would very much like to avoid. Her first step is to escape her house arrest, avoid the murderous servant in love with her sister, and save her sister from their obsessed uncle. That’s only one of many death flags awaiting her in her own story.
