A loner in high school is content to simply acknowledge the angel of the school. He recognizes that she’s beautiful, kind, and his neighbor, but he doesn’t intend to talk to her. A fateful encounter in the rain leads the two to become quite close. We’ll see how close they become when The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken) Season 2 premieres sometime in April 2026.
Saekisan and Hazano Kazutake released the original The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten light novel on June 15th, 2019. SB Creative has released eleven volumes and three short stories in the GA Bunko imprint. Project No.9’s anime adaptation premiered on January 7th, 2023.

The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten & Life is Good
Amane Fujimiya has recently moved out and started high school. He’s content to keep to himself, despite having such a dazzling neighbor. Mahiru Shiina is the school idol. She’s kind, smart, humble, and Amane’s neighbor. Amane thinks the world of her, but he has no intention of going against the status quo. She’s popular, and he isn’t. He also doesn’t want to upset all of Mahiru’s male fans. He’s forced to change his plans when he sees Mahiru sitting on a swing while rain soaks her through.
Amane was tempted to simply leave her be. Her circumstances had nothing to do with him, after all. However, his conscience wouldn’t let him ignore a clearly troubled girl sitting out in the rain. He offered her his umbrella and took off before she could refuse him. Naturally, Amane caught a cold and had to suffer through school. Mahiru sees his ragged state and offers to take care of him until he gets better. This is just the start of their unexpected love story.
