Last month it was announced that Reki Kawahara’s sixth volume of the Sword Art Online light novel series, Sword Art Online: Progressive, will be receiving an anime adaptation. The official Twitter of the Sword Art Online anime, recently announced that Sword Art Online: Progressive will be adapted into a movie, the new title is called Sword Art Online Progressive THE MOVIE: Hoshi Naku Yoru no Aria (Aria of a Starless Night). Along with the announcement a new visual and a new promotional video was released for the film. The production staff was listed and Kirito and Asuna’s voice actors will be returning.
The production staff consists of:

- Music: Yuki Kajiura

Kawahara’s sixth volume, Sword Art Online: Progressive retells the original series of Sword Art Online and was first launched in 2012. It features Kirito and Asuna clearing each floor during the Aincrad arc. The film will be adapting the first chapter of the Sword Art Online: Progressive light novel. Yen Press is publishing Sword Art Online: Progressive and the two manga adaptation of the light novel in English.
