A new magic school series is coming this July, beginning an epic tale of love and revenge. Reign of the Seven Spellblades (Nanatsu no Maken ga Shihai Suru) tells a tale as old as time: a son pursuing the dark and red path of revenge. His single-minded focus is on exacting vengeance, though his growing bonds with those around him, including the cute and powerful samurai girl, might cause his spirit to waver.
As previously stated, J.C.Staff will begin airing the series in July 2023, so their trailer has plenty of action and magic to tide eager fans until then.
J.C.Staff have also set up a promotional home page and official Twitter page for fans and potential viewers to keep up to date with Reign of the Seven Spellblades. Details, such as behind-the-scenes information, and extras, such as the key visuals, can be found there.
A Truly Deadly School Life
Reign of the Seven Spellblades is a brutal series. The story follows Oliver Horn as he enters Kimberly Magic Academy, a seven-year academy. Only 80 percent of mages graduate, while the remaining 20 percent are too injured, go missing, or perish. In this hell-like place, Oliver plans to avenge his mother’s torture and murder. Chloe Halford was betrayed and mercilessly executed by the school’s faculty, an injustice Oliver intends to rectify.
Oliver meets and teams up with Michela McFarlane, called Chela by her friends, Katie Aalto, Guy Greenwood, Pete Reston, and Nanao Hibiya, the latter of whom truly catches his eye. Likewise, Nanao fosters some feelings for him, and all six form the Sword Roses alliance. His friendship with them, and his fascination with Nanao, who hails from a foreign country that is very similar to Japan, may bring his plans for vengeance into consideration.
The titular “Spellblades” are considered the highest form of sword-based magic a mage can achieve. There are currently seven Spellblades, as indicated by the anime title. Theodore McFarlane, the father of Chela, uses the Second Spellblade, “Creumbra, the self-racing shadow,” Oliver wields the Fourth Spellblade, “Angustavia, the thread that crosses the abyss,” and Nanao has achieved the Seventh Spellblade, though it currently lacks a name.

Then might we show you this fine Edelgard von Hresvelg POP UP PARADE Figure from Fire Emblem: Three Houses? She would have that whole school whipped in shape, and the teachers would be sacked in every sense.
