Nanare Hananare is an original anime series about competitive cheerleading set to premiere sometime in 2024. It’s also a fun beginner tongue twister. This anime stars six girls with unique skills that can set the scene ablaze. The studios have previously released character trailers about Nodoka, Shion, Suzuha, Kanata, and Anna. A new full-length trailer — a follow-up from a much shorter trailer — shows the girls in action.
Kodai Kakimoto writes and directs Nanare Hananare, with character designs by Takada Tomomi.
Just some of the cute girls that steal the scenes are as follows:
- Suzuha Obunai — Yuki Nakashima (Yuki Otokura from The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls). Suzuha, a brave daredevil, possesses high skill in parkour. She even turns walking up the stairs into an adventure.
- Shion Tanizaki — Moe Kahara (unnamed characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens). Shion is a tall and athletic girl who gracefully performs rhythmic gymnastics.
- Anna Aveiro — Larissa Tago Takeda (Hisui from Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon). Anna is a free-spirited young woman who specializes in self-defense capoeira.
- Nodoka Otani — Manaka Iwami (Linie from Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End). Nodoka is a cute and friendly girl who enjoys yoga.
P.A. Works and DMM.com have maintained a home page and a Twitter (X) page to promote Nanare Hananare. You can find additional series information and Key Visuals there.
Cute Girls Find Their Way in Nanare Hananare
Nanare Hananare is set in Gunma Prefecture. Six wildly different girls all attend Takanosaki High School, a school known for winning cheerleading championships. Its ace, Kanata Misora, must scramble to find girls who can help her win the next tournament. What might save them are the other very talented girls who attend the same school. A girl who is superbly adept in parkour, another who practices yoga, and even someone who knows capoeira. A group of six girls with differing skills and personalities will unite to form a team that will leave their mark on the world.
