Keep Your Hands off Eizouken! is an incredible anime about the trials and tribulations of making your own anime. Despite being so steeped in the culture and history of animation, the series exists in many different mediums. It originated as a manga by Sumito Owara in 2016, and it’s also currently being turned into a live-action film and television mini-series slated for release next month. Now, we’ve got information on the official theme-songs that will be accompanying these adaptations when they premiere in the spring.
Nogizaka46 idol group members Minami Umezawa, Asuka Saito, and Mizuki Yamashita already star in the live-action Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! project as the main trio of the series. It should be no surprise, then, that these musically gifted actors will also be performing the theme song for the film, titled “Fantastic Sanshoku Pan” (Fantastic Three-Filling Bun). The film premieres on May 15th, but the song will be released on the 25th single from Nogizaka46, “Shiawase no Hogoshoku,” on March 25th.
The theme song for the television mini-series of Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, meanwhile, will be performed by an entirely different group. Rock band Thinking Dogs is set to perform the series’ theme song “Heavenly ideas.” While the television mini-series premieres on April 5th, the full version of this song won’t be released until May 13th when it ships on the band’s newest single. Thinking Dogs vocalist Tsubasa said that they wanted to make this song express the feelings that he had experienced in his own adolescence.
