Sakuya’s father is a legendary detective. He strives to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a great detective in his own right. Sakuya prefers to handle more mundane cases to avoid the dangers and pitfalls his father regularly handles. Despite his best efforts, dangerous cases keep pulling him in, and he now risks becoming a murder victim himself! Fortunately, he’s an immortal detective who can revive on the spot. We’ll see how many times he needs to revive until he solves his cases when Killed Again, Mr. Detective? (Mata Korosarete Shimatta no desu ne, Tantei-sama) premieres sometime in April 2026.
Teniwoha and Riichu released the original Killed Again, Mr. Detective? light novel on August 25th, 2021. Media Factory has since published six volumes in the MF Bunko J imprint. Inaba provided the art for the manga adaptation, which ran from July 7th, 2022, to March 7th, 2024. Fujimi Shobo has since published two volumes in Dra Dra Flat.
Killed Again, Mr. Detective? Cast
The immortal detective and his keen assistant are as follows:
- Sakuya Outsuki — Rikuya Yasuda (Gobuemon from That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). Sakuya is a gifted detective who can revive from death.
- Lilithea — Shion Wakayama (Henao Jazz from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury). Lilithea is Sakuya’s intelligent and commanding kuudere assistant.

Sakuya Outsuki’s father is a legendary detective. People call Tatsuya Outsuki the Immortal Detective. He can crack even the most difficult cases with ease. Sakuya is eager to follow in his father’s footsteps. However, he’d prefer to avoid danger at all costs. His highly capable assistant — Lilithea — would rather he strive toward greater heights. She might get her wish with their newest case.
Lilithea found a simple affair case for Sakuya to investigate while Tatsuya investigates an airplane hijacking. Sakuya and Lilithea dutifully observe their target, a movie producer whose wife suspects him of infidelity. Their observations continue until Sakuya meets a cute movie star who lost the producer’s cat. His search aboard the luxury ship leads him to a murder. The suspect intends to make him the second victim while framing him as the perpetrator. Unfortunately for him, Sakuya is immortal, and he simply rises again to resume his investigation.
