One of my guiltiest of guilty pleasures is a good dating simulator. I absolutely love figuring out how to build up my stats properly to woo different characters and win their hearts. In this case, though, I haven’t the foggiest idea what I’m going to have to do to land the Colonel of my dreams.
In a move that certainly surprised me (along with others around the world I’m certain), the popular fried chicken fast-food franchise KFC has revealed their latest project to be a fully functional Colonel Sanders dating sim which will be developed by Psyop, published by KFC, and hosted on Steam. A 30-second trailer can be found directly below.

KFC describes the game as:
I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator follows you, a promising culinary student, as you try to date your classmate, Colonel Sanders. Throughout your journey, you’ll be faced with life-changing decisions that will affect your chances of friendship and love. But be careful! Your choices have real consequences with real animated characters’ feelings at stake.
Do you have what it takes to survive culinary school? Will Colonel Sanders choose you to be his business partner? Or maybe even so much more? Find out in the most finger lickin’ good dating simulator ever created—a game that KFC actually made.
No matter how you feel about visual novels or dating simulators, it’s impossible to deny that they are enjoying a wealth of popularity at the moment. It seems as though everyone and their uncle are reading visual novels these days and so you can’t fault them in the least for jumping into the pool with both feet.
Plus, admit it… you watched that trailer and am now desperately curious about how good this game could possibly be. I know that I certainly am! Sure, the music in the trailer is a bit low on the quality scale but the good Colonel has never looked better in my opinion and I’m also desperate to know what shenanigans the rivals will provide along the way to graduating from culinary school. Add in the fact that there are nine characters and a secret ending… well, my appetite is certainly whetted!
No release date has been set for this game quite yet but you can add it to your Steam wishlists right this second in order to be alerted when this one does see the light of day!
