Kuroe Akaishi isn’t an ordinary high school girl. Her situation goes far beyond just being a loner who avoids human contact and gives sharp looks to anyone who gets anywhere near her. In truth, her body undergoes different monster manifestations whenever she feels emotional stress. Her fear of others is born of them seeing her as a monster. The popular, model-like Arata Minami dares to get close to her and become her friend. We’ll see if she can contain her monster emotions when Kaiju Girl Caramelise (Otome Kaiju Caramélise) premieres sometime in 2026.

Let Your Heart Grow, Kaiju Girl Caramelise
Kuroe Akaishi suffers from a rare and incurable genetic disorder. Her human limbs take on terrifying monster aspects whenever she feels heightened emotions. This first happened when she confessed to a boy years ago. Scales and claws appeared on her arm as she handed him a flower. Kuroe has since lived in fear and self-imposed solitude. This has led to her classmates referring to her as “Psycho-tan.” Her solitude is quickly shattered by the most popular boy in school.

Arata Minami is one of the most popular guys at school. However, his smile hides an inner turmoil. He likes to make people happy, but he’s tired of putting up a facade. Arata finds that he can let his guard down around Kuroe. His natural charm and their similar self-loathing issues gradually warm Kuroe’s heart. Naturally, her genetic issues flare up, and she transforms into a giant horned lizard kaiju. The Japanese military scrambles as Kuroe is left trying to figure out if she’s dreaming.
