The production company behind Fire Force has released a new key visual and announced the premiere date for the third season’s second cour. The second part of Enen no Shouboutai’s third season airs on January 9, 2026. The reveal comes a month after the production company released a trailer for the final season.
Fire Force Season 3 Details
The first part of Fire Force’s third season aired during the 2025 spring season. David Production will return to animate the anime’s second cour. Tatsuma Minamikawa will once again direct the anime, a position he’s held since Fire Force’s second season. Sei Tsuguta will handle the script and series composition. Further production staff includes:

- Yumi Hirikoshi as Art Director
- Mariko Kubo and Tokuda Yumenosuke as Chief Animation Director
Enen no Shouboutai’s leading Japanese voice cast includes:

Enen no Shouboutai Synopsis
Back in 1746, Countess Cornelia Zangheri died via spontaneous human combustion. Hers was the first documented case of a human bursting into flames. At the time, people failed to see her death as the omen it was. Hundreds of years in the future, humans burst into flames like Tesla Cybertrucks and mutate into ghoulish creatures known as infernals. It’s a catastrophe so widespread it ends established modernity and pushes humanity to the brink of extinction. Luckily for Japan, a contingent of brave souls known as the Fire Force battles the much-dreaded thermic plague.
Yet, as brave as they are, the Fire Force lacks the manpower to deal with such a widespread threat. Unfortunately for a young Shinra Kusukabe, the FF’s shortcomings lead to the loss of his parents and younger brother. But instead of building resentment, Shinra joins the ranks of the FF and uses his powers to aid them. However, as Shinra delves deeper into the world of spontaneous human combustion, a far darker reality than what he envisioned comes to light.
