Farming Life in Another World appeared first on the user-generated novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro. Publishing house Enterbrain (a division of Kadokawa Future Publishing) acquired the light novel in 2017. Since then, Enterbrain has released eighteen volumes, written by Kinosuke Naito and illustrated by Yasumo.
The Isekai Nonbiri Nōka light novel also boasts a manga adaptation by Yasuyuki Tsurugi. Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age has serialized the manga since November 2017. Farming Life in Another World centers on Hiraku Machio, who was a former terminally ill patient given a chance at another life to make up for his suffering. Deciding he had had enough of the shachiku (corporate slave) life, Hiraku asked the god who reincarnated him for a chance to live as a farmer. With that, the god granted him an “Almighty Farming Tool” and a plot of land far from civilization. But, despite his solitude, Hiraku quickly fills his new home with plenty of loved ones.
