We’ll see just how human Nao is when Even a Replica Can Fall in Love (Replica datte, Koi wo Suru) premieres sometime in 2026.
Harunadon and raemz released the original Even a Replica Can Fall in Love light novel series on February 10th, 2023. ASCII Media Works has published five volumes in the Dengeki Bunko imprint.

The replica, her original self, and her love interest are as follows:
- Nao — Sumire Morohoshi (Tiné Chelc from Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn). Nao is Sunao’s replica. She wears her hair in a ponytail to set herself apart from the original version.
- Sunao Aikawa — Sumire Morohoshi (also!) (Shion Kaminari from VTuber Legend: How I Went Viral After Forgetting to Turn Off My Stream). Sunao is Nao’s lazy and irritable progenitor.
- Shuya Sanada — Ryota Suzuki (Third One for All from My Hero Academia). Shuya is Nao’s kind and helpful classmate.

Even a Replica Can Fall in Love. Life (and Love) Finds a Way
Sunao Aikawa somehow made a replica of herself some years ago. She didn’t want to go on a playdate with some friends, and so a copy appeared and did it for her. Sunao continued to rely on her replica, Nao, to act for her in her daily life. Nao would go to school, take tests, run marathons, and even make up with friends with whom Sunao argued. No one gave Nao such consideration. Once Sunao finished using her for the day, Nao faded away.
No one in Sunao’s life ever noticed that a copy began to live her life for her. Over time, Sunao and her replica drifted apart. Nao began to enjoy all the things Sunao summoned her to do. The replica started to wear her hair in a ponytail to assert her independence. She even allowed herself to fall in love with her classmate, Shuya Sanada. The original and the replica may have some disagreements to discuss.
