There’s been an influx of music-themed anime lately, hasn’t there A Few Moments of Cheers (Suu-funkan no Yell wo, A Moment of Yell) is a CGI anime film that features a student discovering his teacher’s incredible musical gifts. He finds it unfortunate that she gave up on her dreams so soon. We’ll see what becomes of her talents when this film premieres on June 14th, 2024. We can enjoy the new trailer and a lyric music video until then.
Jukki Hanada, Ohajiki, and Popurika wrote and directed A Few Moments of Cheers for Hurray! and 100studio.
The student, his musical teacher, and a cute pink-haired friend are as follows:
- Kanata Asaya — Natsuki Hanae (9S from NieR:Automata). Kanata is a skilled music video creator.
- Yu Orie — Mariya Ise (Himeno from Chainsaw Man). Yu is a former musician who gave up her dreams to pursue teaching.
- Moemi Nakagawa — Fuka Izumi (Utena Hiiragi/Magia Baiser from Gushing Over Magical Girls). Moemi is a popular girl and a bassist in a band. As one of Kanata’s friends, he’ll create music videos for her.

A Few Moments of Cheers for a Retired Performer
Kanata Asaya has always been a creative person. He was an aspiring artist, but he felt he had no talent for drawing. Kanata changed his creative outlet from drawing to creating music videos after watching a video online. His talents shine when he produces music videos for others, such as his friend Moemi Nakagawa.
Yu Orie is an English teacher with a musical past. She aspired to become a great singer and guitarist. Yu immersed herself in music for many years. However, she gave up on her dreams after she went unnoticed online and offline. Kanata came across her when she was performing in public with no audience. Her talents immediately grabbed his attention and enflamed his desire to create a music video for her.
